The first Diabetes camp of PRATHAM year 2016-17, was conducted at two venues of Dadar station, one at the Central Railway (Out-station) Reservation Area and another on the Foot-Over-Bridge of Western Railway.
The entire medical equipment consisting of 20 glucometers, 6000 strips & lancers were supplied & sponsored by M/s Roche Diagnostics India Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai. Their medical representatives visited the club to train our members for checking the patients with their glucometers. Special Medical Forms were printed by the club to fill up particulars of the patient/person. Government Doctors from M/s Lokmanya Tilak General Hospital, Sion were part of the camp.
The District Governor, Rtn. Gopal Mandhania visited both the venues and interacted with the club volunteers. The club members were very happy to hear his words of encouragement. District Secretaries, Rtn. Ashwin Shetty & Rtn. Kamlesh Kharade accompanied the DG during the visit. Totally, the number of people checked reached a total of 758 with 378 checkups at Central Railway venue, 380 at Western Railway venue.
